The Stahlbaum Christmas party is well underway. The house is decked out and the guests are wearing their absolute best. Attending a performance of The Nutcracker is like having a personal invitation to the fun. The beautiful costumes, talented dancers, lovely stage design and lighting while set to Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece is a feast for the senses.
With how professional this production is, it’s hard to believe that the majority of the dancers are only children. Kids as young as seven take to the stage to be one of the characters in this ballet. Many more will sit in the audience and watch in wonderment of the magic that unfolds before them. It is truly a great way to introduce your family to the ballet.
Ballet Etudes puts on a spectacular show at two separate venues in the valley; Chandler Center for the Arts and Mesa Arts Center. There twelve shows over three weekends, starting on Black Friday. So many opportunities to start a new holiday tradition. Bring your little dancers and ballerinas, and/or kids young and old, to experience the ballet. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
